...for the food we have to eat. (Even if it does get on the dog at times. Ahem.)

...for frilly swimsuits and the promise of warmer weather around the bend (I hope!)

...for the bookUnglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions which I just finished reading.  All glory to You God for imperfect progress!

...for my hardworking husband who spoils me so.

...for toddlers who put words together.  Those first sentences are such a welcome and fun surprise when they happen!

...for my friend Joanna and her ideas.  Just the other day, Ana told me that she would like to try to make this doll bed.  That's perfect because I never know what to do with those clementine crates!

...for so many wonderful readers who visit, share, and bring joy to my heart each week.  This growing community is a wonderful place to be.

...for new ideas- now just to get DOING.

...for so many blessings to be thankful for.  I love telling you the list when I'm feeling sorry for myself.

...for my friend Hannah and her beautiful encouragement.

...for your Son who we celebrate every day.  It's fun to share the joy of the Passover, the Cross, and the Resurrection with the girls.

Oh, death, where is your sting?
Oh, hell, where is your victory?
Oh, Church, come stand in the light!
Our God is not dead
Hes alive, He's alive!

Christmas Sensory Play turned Dramatic Play

Christmas Sensory Play Turned Dramatic Play

 Ana Drum

...for snuggle time with my two precious girls.  Each moment with them is precious, and this feels especially true after the tragedy this week.  Lord, although I normally don't ask anything of you during this time, I do ask that you would touch those affected and bring them peace in the midst of this horrible storm.  I pray that despite being devastated and brokenhearted that they would turn to You.  I pray that they would know that their sweet little ones are rejoicing now to be with You even though no one here was ready to say goodbye.

...for those in public service who keep us safe and who put themselves in danger to protect us.

...for chubby baby smiles.

...for the prospect of having some time with friends this week.

...for Ana's adorable creativity.  Somehow she turns sensory play into dramatic play every time.  I don't even mind my landing being decorated as a fancy Christmas stage. Even the tree was decorated with ribbon and fanciness.

...for thirty great years of this life as of today.  They would all mean nothing without you Lord.  You make every moment worthwhile.

...for the chance to sing for Your glory tonight.

...for a super success on the craft project I made for a friend this week. (Readers, I'll share it with you after Christmas).

...for the hope of eternity with You.  It's amazing that I will get to spend forever and ever giving You the glory You deserve.

...for the hardest working husband ever.  I'm truly blessed to have such an amazingly dedicated man.  It's amazing that this weekend we will celebrate seven amazing years of marriage.

...for many new students to share my love of music with starting next month!

...for a plate of homemade cookies.

...for family, friends, and community.

..for the gift of faith, and for the gift of Your Son sent as a baby.

Longing for a Savior
A hopeless world would wait
Sin demanded justice
A price we could not pay
But God displayed his mercy
The greatest gift of love
When we could not reach heaven
Heaven Came to us

Thank You Lord

...for my husband who works so hard to provide for us.

...for the delicious stuffed cabbage soup from the freezer that we ate for dinner last night.  It was great to have some of those late summer veggies again with a loaf of homemade bread.

...for my renewed love of knitting.  It has been relaxing and fun addition to my normally busy days.

...for a new year on the horizon!  I love the thought of leaving this year far behind.

...for my upcoming anniversary.  I can't wait to see what my husband has planned.  Last year's trip to Phipp's Conservatory was amazing, and I hope we go back or to somewhere equally fun this year.

...for the first Christmas in two years that we can spend with only family!  It has been refreshing to have a much needed break from foster parenting.

...for my girls being healthy and happy.  Who wouldn't be thankful for their adorable smiles and sweet words.  Maybe I'm biased, but I think I have the best girls in the whole world.

...for a new baby cousin!  I hope we get to hold her and snuggle her soon.

...for Christmas music appearing at the piano, and for actually having time to play.  I love it!

...for some dinner ideas from a friend.  I can't wait to try them!

...for a successful first dance show for Ana.  The Nutcracker was beautiful, and I loved that she was the little diva who kept twirling to show off all of those beautiful pin curls that mommy made.

...for your word God and for being able to come to you in prayer.
