Giveaway~ Joseph Had a Little Overcoat
One of my favorite books about re-purposing is Joseph Had a Little Overcoat. I reviewed it last year (read my review here), and now my family has a brand new second copy that I would like to pass on to one of my readers!

~from Celadon Road's Site
I was honored to connect with Susan DeLancey who is an independent consultant with Celadon Road. Through Susan, I was able to sample several products from the new cleaning line, and I have to say, I was impressed. I didn't even agree to sample the products until I found out that Celadon Road is a signer of the Compact for Safe Cosmetics. This is a huge deal to me because it means that the company has voluntary agreed to adhere to standards for ingredients that are more strict than the federal regulations.
The products that I tried are the All Purpose Cleaner, Hand Sanitizer, Odor Eliminator, Stain Remover, and Lime Laundry Detergent. When the products arrived, I immediately checked the ingredients, and I was thrilled that they were all recognizable. Things like vinegar and essential oils are welcome in my home!
Although I loved all the products, my favorite product by far was the laundry detergent. Laundry is a "favorite pastime" in my house, and I do quite a bit since I use cloth in the kitchen rather than paper towels. My top loading machine only needed one tablespoon, so the container lasted for about two months! My clothes came out clean and smelling great, and the detergent didn't fade colors or cause build up. I usually make my own laundry detergent, but this product cleans better than my homemade recipe.
I asked Susan if there was anything else that she would like people to know about Celadon Road, and here's what she said:
For every home, catalog or online party hosted, Celadon Road plants a tree through Trees for the Future in the hosts name and donates a new pair of shoes to Soles4Souls. Celadon Road also donates 1% of each consultants yearly sales to a charity of our choice.
Celadon Road also offers an amazing home business opportunity for women wanting to promote green healthy living, share with friends and family and work around their family's schedule or as a full time career.
Susan is generously offering a Green Home Starter Kit to one lucky winner. The kit includes:
- 30 oz. All Room Cleanser
- 24 oz. Lavender Eucalyptus All Purpose Spray
- 24 oz. Lemon Mint Glass Cleaner
- 32 oz. Lime Laundry Detergent

Giveaway- Kashi
Sometimes in the shuffle, home made isn't possible. I use a few pre-packaged products when we are on the go, and now Kashi Chocolate Soft- Baked Squares just made the list. At only 160 calories, these aren't your standard brownie! They use surprising ingredients like sweet potatoes and black beans, and they are packed with fiber and whole grains. They are minimally processed, don't use highly refined sugars, have no artificial preservatives or flavorings, but all this wouldn't matter at all if they didn't taste good. The truth is, my kids love them!
We eat Kashi products all of the time, so when KIWI Magazine Moms Meet asked me to review this new product, I was thrilled. Kashi's cereal, crackers, granola bars, and cereal bars all have our stamp of approval, so now I can ad the Chocolate Soft-Baked Squares to the list. I recommend these for anyone who needs a quick on-the-go (but still healthy!) snack for their family. They don't taste like your average pre-packaged food. They actually have the taste and texture of a home-baked healthy brownie.
Have you tried any Kashi products yet? Check out their website or their Facebook Page for more details on their healthy products. In addition, they offer recipes and lifestyle tools if you are interested in making the switch to a healthier lifestyle.

Giveaway- Almond Breeze
Moms Meet has again given me the chance to sample and give away another great product: Almond Breeze.
I've never tried a non-dairy milk before, and I have to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. The type that we decided to try was the Almond Coconut. My one and two year old daughters tried it a few days ago. Addie (1) loved it, but Ana didn't want it. She isn't as brave to try new things.
I don't drink milk plain, so I wanted to try mine on cereal. I would usually add sugar to my cereal, but I tried it first. It was perfect! No sugar was needed, and the taste was really mild but still flavorful. It wasn't overly sweet. I loved it, and I think I might buy it in the future to put on cereal as well.
The real story comes in when my two year old, Ana, saw that I had cereal. She immediately asked for cereal too, "With milk!" I served her the same thing I had, and she loved it! She not only ate every bite, but she drank the milk from the bowl as well. I guess she does like it after all!
There is one more thing about Almond Breeze that is a draw to me, and that is the environmentally responsible packaging. They are made from 70% wood pulp witch is harvested using sustainable methods and then the forests are responsibly replenished too. Plus, they are energy efficient to create. They can be recycled (visit http://www.recyclecartons.com/ to see if the program is in your area yet).

Giveaway: Allergy-Friendly Food for Families
I have been blessed to be able to sample and share with you Allergy-Friendly Food for Families: 120 Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, Nut-Free, Egg-Free, and Soy-Free Recipes Everyone Will Enjoy
Although my family does not have any of the allergies focused on specifically in this book, my children have some unknown allergy that comes up sometimes when they eat out or eat processed food. Plus, we try to avoid dyes and genetically modified food when possible. This book is perfect even for us. Most of the ingredients are whole foods, so we don't have to worry about pouring over lists of ingredients on the backs of boxes. In addition, the edge of the page on each recipe is marked if it is gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, and soy-free. There are no questions as to what recipes are right for your family if you have a child with one of these allergies.
So far, I have tried several recipes, but my favorites are definitely the "Mighty Marinara" and the "Eggplant, Tomato, and Mozzarella Circles." The smell alone of the "Mighty Marinara" makes the whole family get excited for dinner. This one sauce houses so many different vegetables, and they are pureed, so my kids don't even know they are eating them! The eggplant dish also amazing. I just made it last night, and I think I will make more today or tomorrow. Last year I had no luck with using my eggplant from the crop share, but this recipe made it taste great! The bonus was that it was extremely easy as well. These are only two of the many amazing recipes found in this book.
You can start sampling some great ideas and family-friendly recipes right now on allergyfriendlycooking.com.
****Leave a comment below for a chance to win your very own book. The winner will be randomly chosen in one week and announced on this post. Be sure to include your email address when posting a comment.****
*If you would like an extra entry, please share this giveaway on Facebook, Twitter, or your blog, and comment back here that you shared.*
