Corn on the cob, fresh herbs, farm grown salads... These are the yummy things we have been enjoying these past few weeks. We have a half share from an organic crop share at
Left Bower Farm. Each Wednesday a bag stuffed full of organic vegetables is delivered directly to my porch! With dreams of my own of owning a farm, how could I not love this. I'm amazed every time I taste the rich flavors from the fresh from the farm vegetables.
I'm so glad that you and your family are enjoying the vegetables. It always warms my heart to see kids shucking corn ;). I hope you guys can all make it out to the farm for the potluck picnic on August 20th. Good luck with the blog, and check out my wife's when you get a chance: http://thefivekangaroos.wordpress.com/ I think you guys have a lot in common. Take care, Becki!
ReplyDeleteWe have other plans on the day of the potluck. :( We are sad though because we really wanted to make it out. Hopefully next year a workshare. I can't wait to check out your wife's blog!
ReplyDeleteThat top photo is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteAnd cool idea. I wonder if they have any farms like that in Missouri...
I'll bet they do- I think I just googled cropshare. It was january or so, so I got on the list for the next year.
