...for my family's health and safety. Lord, I pray for those who still have no power and who have no home. I pray that you would bless each and every one of them and that you would carry them through this difficult time.
...for the first responders in my community. They risk their lives every day to keep us safe, and I'm so blessed that my church is having a service on Sunday to honor them.
...for the chance to have some time of refreshment in You Lord this weekend with some of my girlfriends at the Sisters 2012 Conference. I pray that you would meet me there and that I would return energized and ready to better serve my family.
...for friends.
...for my mom and dad. They have been helping me out on Tuesdays which is the busiest day of my week. Next week I really need to bake them a snack!
...for my baby who loves to fill and dump random things. She loves to hold bags, carry them around, and fill them with great little tidbits of fun!
...for adorable phrases of a three year old. I love to wait and see what adorable thing she's going to say next.
...for hosting my first Thanksgiving in a few weeks!
...for a stop in the rain and for the great fall things that we can do again.
...for the hope that I find in You.
A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
despite all its great strength it cannot save.
18 But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
19 to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
20 We wait in hope for the Lord;
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you.
(from Psalm 33)

ReplyDeletePlease do. At this point, I'm hoping that the older and wiser will do all of the actually cooking! LOL so far I'm in charge of the corn! Hehe! I DO have some major cleaning to do though!
DeleteThat top photo is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteThank you. I must have looked crazy jumping for the camera and then going out in the rain to catch that!
DeleteWhat wonderful thanks. The storms out east do make us all much more thankful for all the things we do have... :) Thank you Jesus!
ReplyDeleteYes, and we had a horrible tragedy at the local zoo this past weekend that makes me fall to my knees and give thanks and praise for my family. Our life is but a breath, but HE is eternal. Each second that we have is a precious gift.
DeleteThank you for stopping by to link up again. Your list is such a great reminder of everything we have to be thankful for. I hope you have a great time hosting Thanksgiving this year. We have had a mini celebration at my house for the past few years. It's never as big and grand as what I grew up with but the fellowship is always such a blessing and that is the most important part.
