 A few weeks ago, a special treat came in the mail from Moms Meet (greenmomsmeet.com.  It was a package of candy and toothpaste from Xlear (you can find them on Facebook here.) 

My daughters (ages 1 and 3) tried the toothpaste first.  They loved picking their flavor, and they were amazed that it was a clear gel.  They loved the flavor, and I love the fact the main ingredient, Xylitol, is great for their teeth.  Since Xylitol is a natural ingredient found in plants, so I don't have to worry about it being artificial.  There is the possibility that Xylitol can cause mild diarrhea when consumed in large amounts, but we have not experienced that side effect.  I may switch to this brand of toothpaste for my daughters.

Next my husband and I tried the candy.  My daughters were anxious to try it, but it is very hard, and we didn't want them to choke.  We both preferred the fruit flavor, and again, I love that the sweetener is healthy for your teeth.  I would recommend this candy, and for those on a sugar-controlled diet, it is great because it does not interfere with blood sugar levels or insulin production.  I would definitely buy it again if for no other reason than the dental health benefits.
