Reducing Paper Waste and Eco Kids

Last weekend was tax weekend for us.  As I was preparing all of the numbers, I couldn't help but notice the mountains of papers that had accumulated in my files over the past year.  I stopped right then and there and made a goal:  Last year I filled two accordion folders with files, but in 2013 my goal is to cut that back to one accordion folder.

How do I plan on accomplishing this?
  • Sign my accounts up for online billing
  • Use cash for groceries and gas so that I don't have to save the receipts
  • Sign up for online notifications for health insurance claims
  •  Pay off debt to reduce paperwork (and save money!)
  • Create a file system in email
In addition, I'm considering posting a "No Junk Mail" on my mailbox to reduce the piles of paper that come into my house each week.

Don't forget to join me for two different giveaways:
Children's book: Joseph Had a Little Overcoat
Up-cycled Handmade Rhythm Practice Drum on Lewis Music Studio

There were so many great entries in last week's Eco Kids.  Thank you for linking up, and I'm featuring three of my favorites!
