He Said I Couldn't Do It
My husband laughed when he saw me trying to start a fire. Scott, you see, is an Eagle Scout. He is very knowledgeable about starting fires and the like. I thought that instead of laughing he should just get out there and start it for me, but instead he told me that I was doing it all wrong. Contrary to my usual behavior, I admitted that I didn't know how to do it and took his advice. I told the boys to gather twigs, and I used notebook pages that were written on both sides. His advice worked instantly, and we got to enjoy hot dogs cooked over the fire!
