Beyond the Leafy Greens

One of my absolute favorite parts of this summer has been our involvement with the CSA (I'm sure you got that since I post about it all the time!)  It's great opening the fridge and always having fresh vegetables at hand.  This doesn't even speak for the fresh milk and eggs I've been ordering extra each week!  This week, the salad is still coming, but potatoes, eggplant, leeks, garlic, and basil have made their appearance!

  1. I made some fresh pesto the other day - nothing like the smell of fresh basil! Enjoy!

    1. I really want to make some pesto, but all of my recipes call for pine nuts and every time I go to the store, I forget them! Soon!

  2. Your produce looks so fresh and tasty. I've heard quite a bit about CSAs, there are a few of them starting up in the UK, such a great idea :) Enjoy all that lovely food! x

    1. I was happily surprised to find one in my area. Our farmer is really knowledgeable, and this year's crop has been amazing. If one starts up near you, you should consider joining!

  3. What gorgeous photos! You clearly take the time to set up a whole photoshoot with your CSA veggies, & the payoff is incredible. I'm always too impatient to find props so things can be at different heights, which means always photographing birdseye in order to have everything show. I am going to come here & get my pretty produce fix! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I've added you to my blogroll of CSA blogs.
