Yummy!

This week brought something that I've been waiting for to my house- zucchini.  I always despised zucchini growing up.  We had so much that my mom would send bags with me to friends' houses for their parents.  We would have zucchini bread, fried zucchini, zucchini casserole, zucchini cake- you name it and we had it with zucchini!  To me, this was not a good thing.  I went on strike against the green squash and refused to eat it.  I would even ask my mom what ingredients were in everything because she was known to sneak things I didn't like into foods without telling me.

Things now are a bit different.  I like zucchini.  I actually realized this past week- I love it.  My favorite way to eat it is grilled, but I even go in for all of the many recipes my mom used to make while I was still boycotting.  I can't get enough, and now- it's here!

I served this over noodles, and mmmm.  That's all.  Just mmmm.

  1. It's so funny how we can hate things growing up and LOVE them later! I remember how my grandparents always had tons of zucchini too, and I was always pretty iffy about it. Now I think grilled zucchini is amazing.

I can't wait till I can grow stuff one day...

    1. I didn't plant my own zucchini this year, but if all goes well, I will have some beans, tomatoes, pumpkins, watermelon, and cucumbers from my garden. It's my first time growing things without my parents' help.

    1. Thanks! I was thinking it was getting boring, but all of the sudden it's getting slightly more interesting, and the word is tomatoes are coming tomorrow!
