Oh that's awesome...we have the Jr version and didn't have much luck with it....although the hunt was exciting it was a let down when we didn't find anything and after four failed attempts we threw in the towel and just opted for a hike instead..lol What kind do you have?? I need to research a bit more about them and read reviews. What a cutie pie!!! I'm in love with those sweet dimples:)
Thank you! She gets those dimples for my husband. Our GPS is a Garmen Nuvi 1250. It's the one that we use in the car. LOL We switch it over to pedestrian mode and just walk around with it. Our friends have one that is for hiking, and it has an arrow for which way to walk. Ours looks like a little map with a car on it.
The key is to get used to where people tend to hide them. Our first few seemed to take forever. Now we know to look for hollow logs, out of place bark, small notches in trees, and stumps. We used to dig around through the weeds before we knew where to look. It does get easier. Keep trying! We still sometimes don't find them, but it's worth it just for the hike like you said! Good Luck.
I think geocaching would be so much fun! Maybe The Hubs and I should research it and get started! Your little looks so peased!! My moment is a "Tis the Life of a Baby Sister" moment!http://likemamalikedaughter.blogspot.com/2012/09/this-moment_13.html
The container is a geocache. (www.geocaching.com) It's a game where you find "caches" that people hide and post the coordinates for others to find with their GPS. It's really like hiking with a purpose. Inside the boxes are a log to sign and toys for the kids to trade.
It's a geocache! It's lie a treasure hunt that you use a GPS to find little containers that others hide and post the coordinates for on www.geocaching.com. It's free. You should try it!
Oh such a sweetie!

DeleteOh, ok, I thought it was a tupperware that she had collected mud & creepy crawly critters in. LOL! ;0
DeleteLOL! She's so afraid of bugs! I'm surprised that she even stuck her arm in the log to get this out. :)
DeleteLooks like fun!
