A Book Nook

I love the idea of a book nook.  I loved to read as a child, and I want to encourage reading with my children too.  We read lots of stories during the day, and at bedtime the books really come out.  This little hideaway, however, is to encourage individual reading.  I was inspired by this pin:

Mine isn't as aesthetically pleasing as all of these, but for now I wanted to make it with things I already had.  Pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, and of course books are all you need to set up a cozy area for curling up with a good book.

    1. It's great that he loves to read! There's nothing more that I like to see than a kid with a book.

    1. Thank you! I'm glad to be doing some fun things in my girly's room. She seems to like having nicely displayed books.

  3. Lovely idea and so neat! We have problems with books going everywhere. A book nook might help.

    1. I've started rotating my books. It's nice to switch the "display shelves" and then put other books in the bns. It looks nicer, and it makes the books more appealing to the children.
