  1. You have shells in your rocks because people like us end up dumping our yearly shells (collected on vacation) into our creek and eventually they wash away and people then wonder "How did a shell end up here?" lol

Thanks for featuring my tree blocks! Has your hubby gotten started on yours?

And thanks again for allowing me to co-host this link-up party!

    1. We did a project (that's being featured on Rhythm of the Home tomorrow!! WEE) that used seashells, but I don't think that one made it out to the front yard... It's really a mystery. I never noticed it, but it could have been in with the rocks all along... ?

I LOVE those tree blocks, and nope my hubby hasn't worked a bit on them. I'm making a list for this weekend, and that's going to be on it. They would make a great inexpensive (free!) Christmas gift.

I'm so glad that you're co-hosting. It's been awesome to get to know you!

  3. Is that your own broccoli growing there? Looks like lots of lovely sunny weather for outdoor play, been very miserable here in England this week.

    1. Yes, I planted it too late, but left the plant growing. This puts my summer harvest to shame. It has been fairly nice, but it snowed today a bit. I didn't cut that broccoli yet, but it has survived several light snows already! I'd better cut it tomorrow.

I hope your weather improves! I didn't know you were in England!

    1. Thank you! I give all the credit to my new camera!

BTW- love the leaf printing. I want to try that with my girls.

  5. Hi Becki! I came to link up but it says "Linky Tools subscription expired. List not available." So there is not link up.

You did a beautiful job on your post, tho! Loved it! Reminds me of Waldorf, I love how they stress natural objects that allow for the child to use their imagination! Different than Montessori... my son never showed an interest in imaginative play, I don't know if it was his Down syndrome, because he has two friends the same age with Downs (both girls) and they have incredible imaginations albeit Disney style! To each his own!

    1. Thanks for coming, and I'll let you know when it's back up. I paid last night, but for some reason it didn't update. I emailed last night, but I guess I need to call!

I love Montessori, Waldorf, and Reggio curriculum. I can't decide which one I like better, so I think I use elements of all with my kids. I notice that girls in general use imaginative play more than boys, and you are right, each child is different!
