Thank You Lord

...for the sunshine and the rain.  The loud claps of thunder may be scary for my daughter, but to me it is comforting and familiar.

...for my time of retreat and refreshment in the mountains.  Lord, the soft song of the creeks, the gentle breeze, and the clouds of butterflies makes me think of you and how amazing you are to create such beauty.

...for my loyal dog. She's a faithful friend to me and a sweet and gentle companion to the girls.

...for the fun of having a one-year-old!  For new words, claps, smiles, and first steps.

...for quiet games of chess at the picnic table while the little ones play nearby.

For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies;
For the love which from our birth,
Over and around us lies;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For the wonder of each hour,
Of the day and of the night;
Hill and vale and tree and flow'r,
Sun and moon, and stars of light;
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.

For Thyself, best Gift Divine,
To the world so freely given,
For that great, great love of Thine,
Peace on earth and joy in heaven.
Lord of all, to Thee we raise
This, our hymn of grateful praise.
